Using the existing buttons in your car The ghost device generates an exclusive sequence that has to be entered before the engine will start. It is a small weatherproof device that communicates with the ECU of your vehicle directly through the CAN bus, causing it to shut down the motor. The advantage of CAN data over traditional systems is that they operate silently. It is also possible to put it in valet/service mode to allow for temporary operation (with specified parameters, such as a 30mph speed limit) to allow you to give your car to a valet service or for maintenance without having to enter a PIN.

The device is hidden within the vehicle's wiring and does not emit radio signals, which means it can't be identified by modern criminals using diagnostic software that can identify the security system you have installed. This makes it an excellent alternative to a tracker.

Unlike other security systems, which use a relay in engine bays, CANBUS immobilisers communicate via CAN databus (brand dependent) with the ECU and BCM cost of ghost immobiliser the vehicle. This allows them to disable a vehicle completely, by sending a digital block to the ECU and engine.

It communicates directly to your car's ECU (Engine Control Unit) via the CAN data circuit. It's completely silent as it does not use radio frequencies or key fobs. It isn't detected by diagnostics or any other hacking device. It also stops you from adding a new ECU or key to circumvent the system, since only the PIN code allows the engine to be started.

The device is concealed inside your car by using buttons on the steering wheel, centre console and door panels. A unique & changeable PIN code sequence that can be as long as 20 digits needs to be entered prior to being able to start your car.

This is the first aftermarket CAN-bus immobiliser that is being designed. It will prevent your vehicle from being driven or even started when you don't enter a PIN code before entering. If the device is in armed and you try to drive off it will display an indication on your dash that will flash continuously for about 300m, if you enter your PIN code at this point it will disarm the anti-hijack device and your car will continue to operate as normal. If you don't enter your PIN in this moment the indicator will continue to flash and will require a new PIN every time you try to start your vehicle.
